Dapper Day – When the fashionable visit the Disney parks!

Adjective: A: neat and trim in appearance B: very spruce and stylish

The original Disneyland designers frequently populated their renderings with guests who appeared dressed for a day of sophisticated entertainment, men in sharp suits, toddlers working two-pieces, and ladies looking like a page from Dior’s sketchbook – all as if a visit to Disneyland were on par with a night at the opera. And why shouldn’t it be? That’s what Dapper Day is about, realizing those designer’s dreams that Disneyland be experienced as the upscale escape that it is, filled with fashionable guests ready for fun.

Interpret this however you like. A period “Mad Men” look is as correct as the latest haute couture.

Dapper Day is not a private ticketed event. (You will need a park ticket or annual pass as usual.) There’s two events every year, a spring all-day happening in February – celebrated at all Magic Kingdom parks worldwide, and a fall, evening event (currently planned just for the Disneyland resort).

“If you are young at heart and you want to have the Disney Experience off land, hop on board and give in to your childhood fantasies! This ship was built for the kids with grown ups in mind.

Reading this review please take into consideration these are my own thoughts and opinions from my own experience. My comparisons are based to other cruise lines. This was my 9th cruise but 1st on Disney.

Parents will pay a hefty price for the innovations on Disney Dream, Decor is a combination of nautical and Disney character motifs, mostly in red, white and blue. Although there are plenty of “hidden Mickey’s” for fans to seek out, most of the character decor is subtle rather than in your face.

Kids will discover a plethora of features onboard the Disney Dream – whether it’s exclusively for children, teens, or families! One of the most innovative features is the exciting 765-foot-long AquaDuck water coaster, sends guests on an exhilarating journey around four decks over the side of the ship.”
